The morning was slow and uneventful until Caillean found a 3D puzzle in the living room.
After I ate the majority of everyone's dinner and a quick tour of the aftermath of the New Year's fire, we stopped back at my apartment for a few more hours of girl time. Inevitably, this resulted in several Polaroid pictures with and of the globe puzzle.
We put one in a frame for my AirBnb host... he has yet to notice.
Little did we know that this would result in a project that would take up the majority of our day. We began around 1 pm, and finished only three hours later. My AirBnb host had been in and out of the apartment throughout the puzzles creation, and was amazed to come home and finally see a finished globe model. He was so amazed he sat and spun it many times.
It was precious.
Incredibly pleased with ourselves and now much more knowledgeable of the world's geography, we headed out to 대림 (Daelim) Museum's Coco Capitán - Is It Tomorrow Yet? exhibit.
Much of the exhibit featured painted text that was written in English, but there was plenty of Korean translation. It also displayed many of Coco's more humorous take on her view of society and personal conflict.
After a very introspective tour of the gallery, we exited the exhibit in search of a snack. There before us in a mystical cloud of steam, we found the one thing we had been desperate to find for nearly three days.

계란빵.
We made a mad dash to the stand. Only to pay the most RIDICULOUS PRICE FOR AN EGG COOKED INTO A PIECE OF BREAD.
3,000 원 (About $2.80). RIDICULOUS (usually they're 1,000-2,000).
But heck it was worth it. It had been at least 6 months since I had last indulged in the sweet eggy deliciousness.
The happy egg girls found shelter from the brisk cold in the subway, now ready for a full meal.
I suggested one of my favorites, 쭈꾸미(jjuggumi), which is like a spicy octopus stir fry. I knew a fabulous location in 홍대 (Hongdae) that served some of the best at a decent price. Along the way, we discovered a fantastic invention by Korean-kind. An instagram vending machine. That's right, get your photos printed in a very aesthetic, Polaroid-esque fashion for just 1,000 원. I was blown away.

THE END.
